Retirement Assumptions

• 'Earliest Date Eligible to Retire' within the "Your Data" section is used to set the default for 'Planned Retirement Age' and 'Planned Retiree Medical Commencement Age'.

Medical Option Assumptions

• Initial display values are based on default values.
• As the user selects different commencement ages, the content of the Medical Options choices will automatically adjust to account for age transitions, and will map the colleague and spouse/domestic partner to the age-appropriate medical option.
• U.S. colleagues working outside the United States have the option to model both international and domestic medical plan options. The actual medical plan options available to the colleague at retirement will depend on whether the colleague chooses to live within or outside the United States in their retirement.

Retiree Medical Cost Assumptions

• Pfizer determines the full cost of medical coverage and the amount deducted from the RMS for each plan option and coverage tier annually.
• The Retiree Medical Subsidy (RMS) is established at the time of retirement.
• Pfizer retirees will be required to pay the difference between the annual full cost of medical coverage and the RMS for that year.
• All calculations are based on monthly values.
• If you do not have an eligible spouse/domestic partner on file at the time of your retirement, the target annual subsidy is $0. If you do have an eligible spouse/domestic partner on file at the time of your retirement, the target annual subsidy is $0.
• Your retiree medical subsidy account starting balance is based on the number of years of service you have completed (after reaching age 40) as of your retirement date multiplied by the annual subsidy amount. The minimum years of service multiplier is 15 and the maximum is 25. For example, if you were not covering a spouse/domestic partner at the time of your retirement and your total years of service after age 40 were 20, your starting RMS balance would be $0 (20 X $0).
• Legacy-Wyeth colleagues who satisfied the eligibility requirements under the Wyeth Retiree Medical Plan (i.e., age 55 years or older and at least 10 years of continuous service as of December 31, 2011) who have less than 15 years of service at retirement will be granted a subsidy account based on minimum year of service multiplier of 15.
• The total cost of retiree medical coverage increases by an average of 6% each year.
